  • Friends of Abandoned Pets (FOAP)

  • Friends of Abandoned Pets is an all-breed dog and cat rescue organization in the Ottawa, Ontario area. Trinity of Hope Dog Rescue has worked with FOAP on a couple of rescued dogs, the last one being Maxine.
  • Humane Society of Ottawa (HSO)

  • Trinity of Hope Dog Rescue assists the HSO whenever possible. Sometimes this means finding a breed rescue contact, other times it means fostering a dog until transportation to its breed rescue foster can be arranged. We have also helped foster Giant breedX puppies and screen potential homes.We are proud to help the HSO in its efforts to help more animals find forever homes.

  • Trinity of Hope Dog Rescue also operates as Senior Canine Rescue Society's Ottawa Branch. Working with SCRS, THDR has been able to help two senior dogs find new forever homes, Dexter and Benny

    We have accepted a membership in the Saint Fanciers Club of Canada, a CKC approved Club. This Club has adopted a policy to  help Saint Bernards across the country. We work with them on a regular basis to help the breed we all love so much.

      • Trinity of Hope Dog Rescue helped transport two rescued Akitas from the
        Humane Society of Ottawa-Carleton to two Akita Watch approved adoptive homes.

      Beagles:

      • The Beagle Club of British Columbia

      • Trinity of Hope Dog Rescue helped get Snoopy from Ottawa, Ontario to Vancouver, BC. Snoopy is a 3 yr. old n/m AKC-registered beagle, purchased from a pet store in New York State when he was a cute puppy. He was surrendered by his owners to the Humane Society of Ottawa-Carleton because he was too active. Snoopy has since been adopted by a family in Calgary, AB.

      Beaucerons:

      • Beauceron Club of Canada

      • Trinity of Hope Dog Rescue was happy to assist the Beauceron Club of Canada's rescue branch by transporting a young Beauceron from the Humane Society of Ottawa-Carleton. We are happy to report that he has been placed in a  Beauceron-experienced homes.

      • Cocker Spaniel Rescue 

      • Trinity of Hope Dog Rescue has assisted Roxie's Cockers with transportation and short-term fostering of several cocker spaniels over the past two years.

      Dalmatians:

      English Springer Spaniels:

      • English Springer Rescue America 

      • Trinity of Hope Dog Rescue has fostered a few dogs for ESRA until they could move to an ESS Rescue in Ohio. We have also coordinated the transportation of a number of Springers from Missouri to Ohio. Most of these dogs were *retired* puppy mill stock who were offered a better life as companion animals through the efforts of ESRA and Margret Letterman, an angel in rescue who lives in Missouri.

      • Labrador Retriever Adoption and Rescue of Central Ohio 

      • Trinity of Hope Dog Rescue assisted in arranging for the surrender and transportation of three labrador retrievers in the Ottawa, Ontario area to LARCO. We have also served as run coordinators to help move LARCO's labs to their new homes or to LARCO's facilities outside of Columbus, Ohio.

      Saint Bernards:

      • Saint Bernard Rescue Foundation, Inc.

      • If you've always loved Saints, you may wish to sponsor one through SBRF, Inc. Thanks to Disney for increasing the market demand for Saint Bernards following the release of the movies, Beethoven and Beethoven II, Saint Rescue is still very busy. There are always more Saints in need than there are funds or foster homes available. Trinity of Hope Dog Rescue has helped 7 Saints reach their forever homes in the past12 months (Kirk, Patti, Brutus, Beau, Cody, Heidi, and Tia).
      • Second Chance St. Bernard Rescue, Inc.
      • Saint Bernard Rescue / New England

      • Trinity of Hope Dog Rescue fostered Tia, a 15-mos. old Saint Bernard sponsored by NESBC, Inc. Tia is happily living in New Jersey and has a web site of her own. Working with NESBC, Inc., THDR helped Heidi go home and served as the coordinators for "Operation Christmas Spirit," an intensive rescue effort that involved 36 people to help "The Boys" find their way to a rescue foster in CT.

      Siberian Huskys:

      • James Tamaldge, Artist

      • James Talmadge's career as an artist began when he was 14 years old while living in California. Now living in Eastern Ontario, James first shared his talent with Trinity of Hope Dog Rescue when he drew the Newshound for our newsletter. Since then, he has painted two paintings in which Trinity of Hope Dog Rescue dogs are featured (Kirk, Kelli, and Isabelle).       • Michael Steddum

      • Michael Steddum’s passion is in painting everyday scenes of the dogs we love and enjoy. Michael Steddum donated four prints of Miss Maggie to Trinity of Hope Dog Rescue because Maggie's mom was the one who took the picture.

      * There are exceptions to every rule. If there is a medical reason not to alter the animal (age, health concerns) than a group has to make placement decisions that will ensure the animal is not used for breeding or accidently bred.
